"Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived."

Fa-La-La-La-La, La-La-La-La... Day 6

The movie for today is Holiday Affair starring Robert Mitchum, Janet Leigh, Wendell Corey, Gordon Gebert, Griff Barnett, and Esther Dale.

Sorry, I can't find a trailer for you to watch.

Plot:
Janet Leigh is a young widow working as a "comparison shopper" to support herself and her young son. Robert Mitchum is the clerk who waits on her and figures out that she is not a regular customer when she buys an expensive train set and doesn't ask any questions about it. She returns again with the train the next day, and Robert Mitchum takes pity on her after she explains that she is a war widow and allows her to return the train. He also decides not to turn her into his boss for being a spy, which leads to him being fired. Robert then invites Janet to lunch where he tells he about his plans to leave NYC and go build sailboats with a friend in California. Janet Leigh has a steady boyfriend who wants to marry her, and now this intriguing drifter is turning her head. What is a girl to do?
