"Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived."

Gagstastic emails part IV

As usual, if you want to see this email in it's original form, email me and say: Please show me the gagtastic sparkly crap.

(I stripped out GIFs of baby chicks doing various actions)

WE SISTERCHICKS NEED TO STICK TOGETHER - LOVE AND PRAY FOR EACH OTHER - STAND WITH AND FOR EACH OTHER - SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER - YEP - THAT'S WHAT SISTERS DO BEST!!!

YOU HAVE 10 MINUTES TO TELL 10 SISTERCHICKS
AND FRIENDS

(One more GIF of a baby chick was here)

THAT YOU LOVE THEM
(INCLUDING ME)
BECAUSE TOMORROW'S NOT PROMISED
SO.... I LOVE YOU!
GO!!!!

I really don't like being called a "SISTERCHICK" and this faux sisterhood business just annoys the crap outta me. I've learned over the 40 years I've been knocking around the planet, that women just like men, can be wonderful people or complete and utter buttheads.

I'm assuming in your little insane world that "SISTERCHICKS" are superior to mere "FRIENDS"? I don't have any close friends that I would dare refer to as "SISTERCHICKS". The women that I am close to don't like this faux sisterhood crap any better than I do. Secondly, remember I'm the one who didn't forward your earlier email to four of my friends, so what makes you think I'm going to round up ten suckers for this one? No, we are not promised tomorrow which is why I don't believe in wasting that time on forwarding stupid emails.

PS: You asked me recently why I don't have a MySpace account or join that online board you love so much? This article has summed it up much better than I ever could.

Yea, how bout the ones where an angel comes and something good will happen in 3 seconds if you pass it on to 21 people.. or the ones with teddy bears, give me a freaking break.. at 40 y/oteddy bears do nothing for me but collect lint, more to clean.

I always like knowing that if I send it on to 15 people in my address book (and to do that I'd have to make up random names) that something truly wonderful will happen to me at 2:34 am WHEN I'M ASLEEP.

And the same person keeps sending these to me. I've never once returned one of them to her so I'm totally out of that circle of friends crappy loop.

Also, on the ones she sends me that have the questionaires, there's the question, "Who on your list of friends will NOT return this to you." And she always types in "Rosie." Think she'd get a clue yet?

Interestingly enough, most of these that I get are at work from co-workers (in other departments). Huh? I hate them, and when I get one, my department is treated to a few expletives and colorful metaphors.

Nice. A slightly Easter-themed gagtastic email. I got this stupid sisterchicks one recently, too. WTF is a sisterchick anyhoo? Is it anything like a gal-pal? Or a friend-person? Girl-buddy?

I'm with you, hairball, I don't like ANY chain letters. I automatically delete them without even reading.

Heather Cherry,
the way I understand it is like this. A sisterchick is a person of the female gender who enjoys forwarding these idiotic things on hoping that other women will return them to her and therefore prop up her own self-esteem. If you do, think, or believe something that the other sisterchicks don't approve of, they will shun you until you have repented of the grievous sin of expressing your individuality.

It's a lot like junior high except you can legally drink, smoke, drive, gamble, vote, get married, and join the military.

Hairball - I don't get this sisterchick thing, and I'm glad. Not gonna be one, not gonna have one. Friends are good, though.

*clap clap clap*

I think you hit the nail on the head with that one. Although I think the definition ought to be expanded to include "women who feel the need to show their 'friendship' in ways including but not limited to pictures of bouquets, sparkly kissy lips and angels made out of other keyboard characters."

Lidian- Good for you! Friends are much better than silly sisterchicks.

Heather-Yup! Also they tend to pout when you don't respond in kind.

*sighs* I wish you gals all lived in Hairballville. I think we'd have fun together! :)

I refuse on principle to forward any email that orders me to do so.
