"Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived."

Feedjit hates me!

Dear Feedjit,

How come the words I used in my Google search are not showing up on another blog's Feedjit? Do you know how long it took me to come up with:

Sandra Lee got my monkey pregnant.
Sandra Lee's monkey makes f'ntastic tablescapes.
My monkey cooks better than Sandra Lee.
My dog cooks better than Sandra Lee.

etc, etc, etc...

In order to get a certain blog to come up in the search results?!?

Sincerely,

Hairball T. Hairball

Big Beaver, Pa. Sheesh.

Well, Hairball, my problems with Feedjit started this AM. When I went to my blog I could see only the title "Feedjit Live Traffic Feed."
Alas no feeds. Just the title.

I went to other bloggers' blogs and only got the title.
Emailed them and they could see my Feedjit feeds just fine.

I removed my Feedjit, put it back on.
Same thing.
Then I opened my blog in Internet Explorer which is The Evil and I hate it. I never use it. But guess what. There was my Feedjit.

Apparently, it's a problem with Firefox, and I'm assuming that's what your're using.

I Googled "firefox problems with Feedjit" and "Feedjit problems with Firefox" and there are definite issues there. But they don't tell me what to do to fix it.

Ticky of Reinventing a Boomer told me to switch to Google Chrome Browser. Specially since Google owns Blogger and it would be user friendly.

See here for alternative browsers:

I just always loved my Firefox.
Now I'm sad since it ain't workin'.

Thanks for the info Rosie!

I don't like IE and only use it when I have no choice.

I'll ask Mr. Hairball about the Firefox/Feedjit issues and if he can fix it, I'll let you know.

Gee, I wonder whose blog you were trying to hit?
Google Chrome isn't necessarily the best one, it's just the first one I tried. So far, it seems to work okay. I will. not. use IE.

Also, about Chrome. I haven't installed it, but for days and days, whenever I would open Firefox on my laptop (not my desktop) I'd get error messages about "Chrome registration failure." I'd have to click out 3 times, then Firefox would come up. Finally, I uninstalled and reinstalled and no more error messages. The thing about my current issue, is that I have changed nothing in my Firefox settings. Everything was just working fine, then no damn Feedjit.
Only the title. No feeds. And I couldn't even see other peoples' Feedjits. Just the title.

Mr. Hairball looked at it and said that our problem is likely related to some updating that Firefox has done this past week. He also said to keep checking Firefox over the next few days to see if the issues have been resolved.

I also sent an email to the Feedjit folks telling them what is going on with our Feedjits and will let you both know what I find out.

I have disabled and uninstalled all the ad-blockers I could find after Rosie shared some info she had found. I thought it was going to work after the first one was uninstalled. After a test search, Rosie's feedjit showed my search engine but not my search terms which was an improvement.

Sadly, now that I have finished disabling and uninstalling all the ad-blockers on my add-ons list, I'm right back where I started. Grr.
